Cam lives in Providence, Rhode Island about a 10 minute walk from the furniture studios at the Rhode Island School of Design where he is an undergrad studying furniture design.

He has a fascination with the mundane experiences of life in the built environment. Through observing this built world he contemplates how industrially produced objects are mysteriously void of all spirit fresh off the assembly line, yet attains a spirit as it is used, and develops a patina and memory through use. He is interested in the duality of industry and craft and how objects undergo the natural process of everyday human living as they are used.

In his furniture he references folk and industrial vernaculars; these two worlds converge in his work as he collages found industrial materials and hand crafting techniques to create functional furniture for everyday use.
